Summary: Energy Transfer is looking for an experienced Robotic Process Automation analyst and developer to join the current Automation team. This position is primarily responsible for supporting current Production automations running in UIPATH Orchestrator, and analyzing and developing new automation requests.
The customers include pipeline accountants for Crude and Refined, Terminal Accounting, as well as IT groups requiring assistance with technical task automations. The Senior Specialist will need to be expert in UIPATH Studio and Orchestrator and able to design and develop solutions that run smoothly in the Production environment. Oil and gas experience a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor job schedule in UIPATH Orchestrator during the work day and intervene when necessary.
- Ability to design and build a UIPATH application from scratch, using creativity in combination with robust coding practices and error handling.
- Work with end-users and business managers to understand business needs and suggest UIPATH and other automation solutions to business problems.
- Work with the job schedule in Orchestrator.
- Develop code using UIPATH Studio.
- Develop and maintain documentation.
- Willingness to share knowledge to strengthen the team as a whole.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written).
- Enjoy working as a team, and as individual.
- Positive attitude that promotes good work relationships.
- Quick learner and excited about investigating issues and solving business problems.
- Must adhere to good programming practices and strict testing standards. Must be able to manage small to medium projects and work effectively with team members and customers.
- Use Service Now to progress through project life cycle steps.
- Work hours will occasionally include "on call" support including some night and weekend hours.
- Work Location: Downtown Houston. 1300 Main Street. Full-time in office.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or IT business-related field.
- In-depth knowledge of UIPATH orchestrator, or similar RPA tool.
- In-depth understanding of the importance of error-handling and writing robust code.
- Basic knowledge of Windows server management.
- Experience developing automations: coding, testing and implementing.
- Good written skills for presentations and documentation.
- Willingness to share knowledge and collaborate on a team.
- Sense of urgency when issues come up and willingness to diagnose and fix them.
- Ability to keep track of projects and pay attention to detail.
- Excellent written skills.
- Willingness to make presentations.
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
- The IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience.
- The Senior IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience.
- The Lead IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft SQL Server experience.
- UIPATH training and/or certification.
Working Conditions:
- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
