Long-term contract role - potential to transition to permanent
Responsibilities:
- Document the type of data being sent to vendors, including coordinating the information gathering process, facilitating data classification questionnaires and conversations, and documenting the responses in the appropriate location.
- Enter data into Enterprise Data Catalog with the appropriate metadata (combining already collected data from SharePoint).
- Interpret data sets, propose data & process improvements, and address data questions from stakeholders.
- Document why the data is being sent to a vendor and how often it is being sent.
- Partner with others to verify every data element has a valid business purpose for sharing with the vendor (at the column level).
- Help improve data health and ensure information in ServiceNow is accurate and detailed for informed business and/or risk decisions.
Required Skillset Summary:
- Ability to effectively coordinate information gathering and manage data classification questionnaires.
- Skilled in accurately documenting responses and ensuring proper storage; detail-oriented and organized.
- Strong attention to detail, essential for scheduling meetings, coordinating data classification questionnaires, and documenting responses accurately.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with various stakeholders, including business teams, data owners, and potential vendors.
- Experience in analyzing data, understanding data lineage, and working with Enterprise Data Catalogs.
- Prior experience with Collibra, ServiceNow, and Confluence is desired as these tools will be used in this effort.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Business, Operations, or related field preferred OR significant related work experience beyond the minimum required for the position. A broad understanding of various delivery methods (agile, waterfall, etc.) is preferred.
