The Employee Benefits Sales Coach is a highly autonomous, seasoned sales person or sales leader who can use their talents to coach early-career producers and advisors on Employee Benefits sales. You’ll also run sales contests, facilitate learning events, publish leaderboards, and run workshops that help drive incremental revenue and hit other critical KPIs at the local and regional level. You’ll work closely with regional C-level sales management as well as cross-functionally with salespeople, service teams, marketing, specialties, and knowledge management to improve sales effectiveness at all levels in your territory. The Employee Benefits Sales Coach also provides individual and group coaching, develops and conducts workshops and webinars, and attends local and regional sales leader calls.
This position is a highly autonomous “internal consultant” who reports directly to the Vice President, Hub Sales Force Development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide live and remote Employee Benefits sales coaching to early- and mid-career salespeople
- Facilitate multiple award-winning sales training programs
- Work closely with local field leadership in your assigned region to plan sales skill workshops, drive enrollment, facilitate effectively, conduct surveys, compile results, and reach assigned KPIs and key metrics
- Identify opportunities for new programs, contests, and other learning interventions at both the corporate and regional levels, and partner with business leaders and appropriate subject-matter experts as needed to build and run them
- Manage stakeholder expectations, communications, and internal marketing
- Monitor and regularly assesses the quality and effectiveness of training/program delivery, and provide coaching and feedback to appropriate business partners to ensure consistent effective performance
- Remain current on both sales techniques and learning techniques and determine impact and opportunity to infuse into training programs
- Manage group dynamics and behaviors to ensure a learning environment that is inclusive and successfully applies adult learning characteristics across diverse backgrounds and experiences
Qualifications and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree and/or 4+ years of experience in a combination of sales training, sales enablement, learning and development, coaching, employee development, facilitation;
- A combination of experience in selling Commercial Lines Insurance and/or Employee Benefits adding up to at least 4 years in a Brokerage or Agency setting
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Strong impact and ability to influence successfully in a matrix organization

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado, California and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
