Overview
NaphCare is seeking a Corporate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Special Projects to join our team at our Corporate Office located in Birmingham, AL.
Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Psychiatry, the Corporate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Special Projects is responsible for ensuring that company goals and objectives are achieved in their assigned service delivery area by providing in-depth clinical chart and peer reviews to assure health care services are following the requirements of NCCHC, ACA, and professional healthcare standards. This clinical provider will assist with special projects for the corporate mental health team in an effort to improve patient care and clinical compliance across NaphCare's facilities.

NaphCare has a partnership with NetCE that provides CEU/CME for our staff. NetCE uses a rigorous peer review process to ensure that all activities and content are up-to-date. This service streamlines continuing education for all NaphCare Employees to meet state-specific requirements for maintaining licensing.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate site compliance with mental health measures
- Assist the education department in creating up-to-date training videos and materials
- Monitor for quality compliance concerns in health staff documentation or performance
- Assist with site-level provider tasks that can be completed remotely
- Participate in telemedicine and provide clinical services as needed
- Review and complete referrals for corporate psychiatry from StatCare
- Assist in training providers on clinical standards of care and on-site duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with all staff levels
- Ability to utilize multiple computer platforms for meetings or direct patient encounters (e.g., Zoom, TEAMS, Google Meets)
- Some travel required
- Moderate utilization of computer software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
Physical Demands
- Walk on feet approximately 8 hours per day
- Sit for 2-4 hours per day
- Lift up to 25 pounds
- Assist patients in standing, laying, walking and/or sitting
- Frequently bend, stoop, reach and push/pull
- Work in varying degrees of temperature (A/C)
- Work under extreme pressure
- Manage difficult patients in a professional manner
Qualifications
Qualifications of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
- Current unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in Alabama
- Current DEA registration
- Valid CPR
