We are actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Wound Care Nurse (RN) to join our skilled nursing facility (SNF) team. Essential Qualifications:Required:- Current, valid RN license in the state of Idaho.
- Proven experience in wound care nursing within a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
- Strong clinical skills in wound assessment, treatment planning, and documentation.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform the duties required for wound care, including lifting and repositioning residents.
Preferred:- Experience in infection control, wound prevention, and treatment of pressure ulcers.
- Knowledge of memory care, COVID-19 care, and other specialized areas in long-term care.
- Certification in Wound Care (WCC, CWCN, or equivalent) is a plus!
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver specialized wound care to residents, including wound assessments, treatments, and preventive measures.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, wound care specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans.
- Monitor changes in residents' skin integrity and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation of wound care treatments and progress in medical records.
- Educate residents and their families on wound care management and prevention.
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing staff training related to wound care and skin integrity.
