Job Summary
Incumbent will provide direct patient care and supervise (precept) housestaff and student physicians providing direct patient care at the assigned location or any other clinic site as assigned by the Department Medical Director or Chair based on patient need and department objective.

Minimum Qualifications
- Medical Degree.
- Licensed in practice to be in the State of California.
- Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
- Skills required include the ability to manage complex medical patients and their broad range of illness, to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team, to serve as an effective teacher when dealing with learners and to effectively transition patients from the inpatient setting back to their outpatient care home.
- Knowledge required includes a good understanding of the common diseases that a hospital-based physician deals with on a daily basis, understand the health care system in which they work and how to access their patient's care needs.
- Abilities/competencies required include functioning in a professional manner with regards to patients, families, colleagues, to maintain compliance with all medical staff policies and to be an effective communicator with a broad range of people.
