Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor
Location: Chattanooga, TN
Shift: 12-Hour Days, 3 Shifts Per Week (36 Hours)
Shift Times: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $29.30 - $43.94 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Days No Weekends
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified Laboratory Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic testing, and supervising the performance of laboratory staff. You will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of care and ensuring that all lab procedures comply with regulatory standards. This is a full-time position with no weekend shifts, offering a great work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise laboratory operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Manage, train, and mentor laboratory staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Ensure proper quality control procedures are followed, and equipment is maintained
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate test results for patient care
- Utilize computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel, to generate reports and manage data
- Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements and certifications in technical specialty areas
- Oversee the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures
- Monitor laboratory supply levels and ensure timely ordering of necessary materials
Qualifications:
- Current State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Supervisor General License required
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Licensure in 3 technical specialty areas preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, patients, and vendors
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and report generation
- Experience with Medi-tech preferred
