Job Summary
The Labor and Delivery Nurse plays a critical role in providing care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
Schedule:
3 12 hour shifts - 7p-7:30a + alternating weekends
Duties
- Monitor and assess the health status of mothers and newborns throughout labor and delivery.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding the birthing process.
- Administer medications, including anesthetics, as prescribed by physicians.
- Document medical information accurately in patient records to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in emergency response situations, utilizing basic life support skills as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- NJ or Compact State License
- 2 years of L&D experience
- COVID Vaccine and Booster required by Client
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, EFM
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $62.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
