Posting Summary
Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a Mental Health Clinician III Per Diem to work at the Northern State Prison, located in Newark, New Jersey. The Mental Health Clinician III participates in the assessment of clinical needs of adult inmates sentenced to the Department of Corrections.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Arrives at DSM V multi-axial diagnoses with precision and accuracy by the end of the evaluation sessions.
- Makes clinically based decisions regarding appropriateness for treatment, as well as preferred treatment modality.
- Provides crisis intervention services, group psychotherapy and psycho-education as assigned.
- Provides case administration services which include the development and implementation of treatment plans for assigned patients, and ongoing assessments and release/discharge planning.
- Maintains appropriate inmate's clinical records in a timely manner, as mandated by RBHS policy.
Position Status: Per Diem
Daily Work Shift: Rotating
Work Arrangement: This position requires a full onsite work arrangement.
FLSA: Nonexempt
Position Salary: $45.00/hr
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience: Minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Valid Driver's License.
- Licensure in Social Work (LSW)
Special Conditions: Must be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements.
