What You'll Do- Supporting a broad spectrum of groundwater resource projects related to high-yield supply well installation and testing, mining dewatering evaluations, groundwater resource assessments, stormwater basin mounding analysis, construction dewatering evaluations, and more. Work will be performed under the supervision of senior hydrogeologists, resulting in unique mentoring opportunities for various hydrogeological tasks and applications.
- Assisting with all aspects of a project, including marketing, proposal preparation, project management, field work, data analysis, numerical modeling, map preparation, and technical reporting.
- Working with governmental, municipal, industrial, and commercial clients.
- Completing field evaluation work to include groundwater sampling, aquifer testing, well logging, subcontractor oversight, surface geophysics, surface water monitoring, etc.
- Conducting office work to include data analysis, client and subcontractor coordination, proposal preparation, assistance with numerical groundwater models, map preparation, technical reporting, etc.
- Working in a variety of hydrogeologic environments, including coastal plain, crystalline bedrock, and karst aquifer systems.
- Travelling overnight is infrequent but will be required at times.
- This position requires daily management of all phases of complex environmental projects independently.
- Project Managers are required to prepare project proposals and budgets, write technical project reports, prepare and maintain project budgets, perform project invoicing, review daily field reports prepared by field staff, perform peer reviews of deliverables prepared by other Project Managers, engage in daily client interaction, develop a client database, and regularly attend industry marketing events.
- You will be expected to display the ability to interact with and train junior staff members on various environmental projects and assist Senior Staff as assigned, including the performance of field work, as necessary.
What We're Looking For- 10+ years of related experience.
- MS in Hydrogeology or related fields such as Geology or Environmental Engineering preferred.
- Licensed Professional Geologist required.
- Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, GIS, AQTESOLV, MODFLOW.
- Excellent writing and communication skills and a commitment to continued learning.
