Main Duties & Responsibilities
2nd shift 1:30pm-10:00pm
Shift Premium
- Performs secondary process in support of manufacturing operations. This includes degrease, lube, etch, anodize, chromatic conversion coating and roll sort.
- Performs daily operation of wastewater treatment systems including chemical tanks recharge, daily pH monitoring, flow controls, filter press pumping, and filter cake dryer operation.
- Adheres to production schedules as required by the company and/or customer.
- Ensures process specifications identified on work order are followed.
- Ensures processing tanks are at proper chemical operating levels.
- Performs and monitors transfer of wastewater effluent from containment through filter press.
- Performs roll sorting of product as required.
- Follows established safety and environmental guidelines.
- Inventories and reports requirements for chemicals and supplies.
- Performs record keeping and housekeeping.
The pay scale for this position ranges from $18.00-$29.86 per hour.
Qualifications
- Language Skills: Ability to speak and understand English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos written in English. Basic ability to write numbers and letters.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out routine multi-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.
- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to bend. The employee is occasionally required to walk; and to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
