Job Description
The Clinical Psychologist works as an integral part of the Behavioral Health department. The Psychologist is responsible for mental evaluation of patients, diagnosing, or ruling out mental disorders, and evaluate for service-connected disability. The Psychologist must be able to provide mental healthcare in numerous modalities such as psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy in a culturally sensitive manner. The Psychologist will develop a plan to establish and maintain an atmosphere of collaboration with other specialists to monitor the mental health progress.
Qualifications
- Doctoral Degree in Psychology with a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience and licensed to practice in a US state or territory
- BCLS Certificate
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients through interviews, observations, standardized tests, and medical history reviews.
- Analyze screening data, results, and assessments to accurately diagnose patients.
- Determine severity of diagnosis and disability.
- Provide crisis intervention plan and resources.
- Assist patients with changing negative thought processes and behavior.
- Consult with other clinical professionals and psychologists for best patient outcome.
- Document patient's assessment, diagnosis, symptoms, medication, and efficacy of treatment.
- Provide patients with emotional support strategies to manage their mental or psychosocial disorder.
- Maintain knowledge of new modalities and developments in psychiatry and mental health.
- Provide training to staff on the interconnectedness among psychosocial, psychological disorders, psychiatric medications, and crisis interventions.
- Ensure that all medical records are accurately documented and maintained.
- Promote quality and safe service for patients and staff by enforcing policies, procedures, standards rules.
- Ensure best practice in accordance with DSM clinical guidelines and SOPs.
- Support the clinical excellence framework under the direction of the Facility Medical Director.
- Provide liaison with internal and external agencies where required to enable continuity of care for patient referral.

Compensation: Base rate is $400 per day + additional money per exam $1099 (10 patients) $1448 (15 patients)
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
