Job Description
The Epic Application Analyst is a representative of the Information Technology team and is responsible for establishing, fostering, and maintaining positive business relationships with New Jersey Urology co-workers; interdisciplinary workgroups; clinical and financial department representatives; Epic partners; and all other staff who use or interact with the Epic application suite.
What are examples of work that the Epic Analyst will do at VillageMD?
- Attends and participates actively in routine meetings with department heads and/or superusers to identify, document, and prioritize their needs.
- Interprets end user requirements by fully discussing potential options and helping practices move towards optimal solution.
- Provides Epic and other applications software support, file maintenance, and build for break-fixes, optimizations, special updates, upgrades, and implementations.
- Oversees and/or performs analysis of necessary business/clinical application modifications and works with IT associates and/or the vendor to coordinate the modification.
- Creates test plans and tests new systems, version upgrades, and any system modifications.
- Installs/upgrades new/existing applications and components, configures application settings.
- Reviews other Application Analysts integrated test plans and documented outcomes for consistency and thoroughness for Epic applications.
- Maintains strong and positive relationships with all application vendors.
- Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to management.
- Provides assessment, coordination, documentation, release note review, testing, and implementation of programming, upgrade, and project requests.
- Provides go-live and technical support for users on new applications, modules, and functionality.
- Provides and communicates clear documentation for support, status, and issues resolutions.
- Develops knowledge of system capabilities, applications, and processes to function effectively as an educator and expert for system users.
- Remains current on Epic new version training for all applicable Epic certifications.
- Provides on-call application coverage as scheduled.

- MyChart Certification Preferred.
