The Part-Time Technician, Artificial Intelligence Data Labeling will learn to use software to accurately examine GPS training data. Labels non-classified data using software by using common computer tools (e.g., keyboard and mouse); identifies and labels objects for use in creating Artificial Intelligence (AI) training algorithms to inform decision-making and/or possible development of AI machine language.
Essential Functions: - Use the software application to label non-classified data.
- Examine GPS data.
- Identify and label objects for use in creating artificial intelligence training algorithms to inform decision making and/or possible development of artificial intelligence language.
Marginal Functions: - Create and maintain a variety of records, reports and files.

Environmental Conditions: The employee should have the ability to effectively handle a work environment and conditions which involve an office workspace, working closely with others, and periodically working irregular hours. The employee must maintain the office environments by maintaining equipment and supplies, ensuring overall cleanliness, functionality, and conformance to OSHA standards to provide a safe work environment.
Physical Conditions: Physical and marginal functions require the ability to maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include standing, walking or sitting for extended periods, moderate lifting and carrying, general manual dexterity, operating assigned equipment, and extended exposure to computer screens. The employee is required to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, reading and writing, operating assigned equipment, communicating with others, and handling varied tasks simultaneously. Additionally, the employee must maintain mental capacity, which permits making sound decisions and using good judgment, demonstrating intellectual capabilities, and evaluating the effectiveness of programs and personnel.
Scheduling Conditions: This is a part-time position, with availability of hours and scheduling (day, evening, or weekend) dependent upon the needs of the college.
Traveling Conditions: Local travel between the Caldwell campus, Watauga campus, or any off-campus sites may be needed. Out of state travel is limited, but may be required for training and conferences.
Experience: Submission of three references is required. One must be from a current or former faculty member of CCC&TI.
Training: Applicant must be currently enrolled in, or have completed an Information Technology program of study at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute. A minimum of 16 credit hours in the core IT-approved program of study and at least a 2.5 GPA is required; a 3.0 GPA is preferred.
