Summary:
Under the general supervision of the CEO, the Director of Behavioral Health is responsible for the overall management, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of clinical Behavioral Health programs and services. Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Direction : Lead the development of a comprehensive 3-year strategic
- plan with measurable goals that align our mission with the evolving needs of our community.
- Orchestrating Excellence : Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of an accessible, seamless, and integrated quality healthcare delivery system and continuum of care for persons requesting and receiving behavioral health services.
- Driving Program Synergy : Promoting seamless collaboration across programs while championing staff adherence to performance standards, ultimately driving operational efficiency and enhancing the quality of care delivered to our community.
- Spearheading Compliance & Excellence : Uphold adherence to clinical practice guidelines while spearheading the development and implementation of best practices for each clinical component of the organization.
- Championing Talent : Cultivate a supportive environment where all team members feel encouraged to contribute their unique talents and expertise, propelling the clinic's innovative programs and exceptional patient care.
- Amplifying Impact : Cultivate strategic partnerships with state coalitions and task forces that promote interagency collaboration and create new opportunities for clinical program development.
- Data Driven Decisions : Safeguard the fiscal viability and integrity of all programs. By leveraging rigorous data analysis to uncover opportunities for improvement, empowering strategic decisions that boost staff morale, enhance service quality, and drive continuous progress for our community.
- Grant Management : Oversee the complete lifecycle of federal, state, and local grants with a clinical component, ensuring timely compliance, accurate financial management, and seamless reporting.
Education and Experience :
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in community behavioral health programs, with three years in a program director or program management position.
- Experience in the provision of mental health and substance abuse treatment.
- Experience in grant writing and reporting.
- Experience in program development.
- Experience preferred in directing an outcome-based practice environment where clinicians and
- programs are monitored and measured relative to client outcomes.
- Experience preferred coordinating an integrated primary care and behavioral health system.Experience using Athena Health electronic health record system.
General Requirements

- First Aid and CPR certifications must be obtained within two weeks of hire.
