What you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Thorough knowledge of non-invasive cardiac procedures. 3-5 years of clinical experience.
- Previous management experience preferred.
- Leadership, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills required.
Must demonstrate competency in care of all patient age groups specific to units/specialty. - Understanding of SLEMS, interpreting patient loyalty scores, and daily operations required.
What you will do:
The purpose of this job is to provide overall management of the Cardiovascular Department operations and staff with 24/7 accountability. They are responsible for leading teams, mentoring others, and collaborating with physicians, administration, and other departments to provide safe, high-quality, and efficient cardiac and vascular diagnostic testing for patients.
The Senior Clinical RN Manager is responsible for:
Financial Management
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective operations within the Cardiovascular CSL
- Oversee financial reports, including I&E, CDM, and other relevant data, ensuring charges are reconciled daily
- Manage resources effectively, identifying cost reduction opportunities and planning for equipment replacement
Human Resources Management
- Oversee orientation, onboarding, and the performance management program for staff
- Maintain discipline and implement corrective actions as necessary, ensuring equitable staff scheduling
- Ensure consistent communication of Cardiovascular initiatives and oversee staff communications
Quality and Performance Improvement
- Participate in program planning and development, focusing on care standardization
- Engage in multidisciplinary committees to meet the diverse needs of customers including physicians, patients, and staff
- Ensure compliance with safety goals and maintain the physical environment for optimal patient care
Operation Management
- Resolve inter- and intradepartmental issues and patient relations within scope of responsibilities
- Develop and implement policy changes, and mentor staff to assist with operational issues
- Support Cardiovascular CSL growth initiatives and ensure operations meet metric goals
Clinical Outcomes of Care
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and address clinical issues, developing and monitoring action plans
- Act as a clinical resource to staff, managing patient throughput and supporting staff during orientation
- Monitor and implement compliance with patient safety goals continuously
Leadership
- Interface with physicians, staff, and the community to increase awareness and education about department services
- Organize and maintain continuity of care for patients, coordinating pre- and post-procedural care
- Investigate growth opportunities and cultivate community engagement to increase service awareness
