Work Hours/Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Location Address: 1613 N. Mills Ave, Orlando, FL 32803 (will rotate to all AHMG Cardiology locations in Central FL as need)
Job Summary:
Manages both clinical and administrative functions within the practice. Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures. Candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of the policies, procedures, regulations of nursing programs and an effective supervisory technique(s). Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment. Candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. As needed, performs professional nursing care activities and accommodates services for the physicians and the practice, following established standards, practices, policies and procedures.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Serves as the manager of the clinical team and other staff as assigned
- Provides a safe and complete environment for the delivery of patient care through operational processes and protocols, inventory control and equipment checks. Corrects any known deficiencies
- Works with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources in recruitment and selection, orientation, evaluation and performance management
- Supports offices in a cost-effective, efficient manner assuring that all clinical staff meets the expectation of delivering high-qualify services in a safe, courteous and friendly atmosphere
- Oversees clinical team, including orientation of new hires and ongoing team education and training.
- Participates in the preparation of operating budgets, including salary and capital budgets. Maintains compliance with those budgets and the productivity standard set for the department(s).
- Makes routine rounds in the practices and conducts meetings with the practice leaders to ensure that established clinical processes are working well for the providers and staff
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
- CPR/BLS certification
Preferred experience/education:
- Bachelors degree in healthcare/nursing
- Previous management experience in a group practice environment
- Four+ years of professional nursing experience, physician office preferred
