Summary
Position Summary
The Speech and Language Pathologist role measures and evaluates language abilities, auditory processes, and speech production, and/or conducts treatment of persons with speech, language, voice, hearing, and swallowing disorders. Assists the patient in establishing an optimal functional communication system to express physical, emotional, and social needs.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Master's Degree in Speech Pathology required.
- License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as a Speech-Language Pathologist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Certification in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
