$12,000 Sign-On Bonus

Expected pay for this position is $26.46 - $31.13/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Surgical Tech I is an entry level role that provides basic care for patients across the life span. Performs duties of scrub person throughout the intra-operative phase of care. Recognizes significant conditions and reactions and notifies the appropriate patient care team.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or GED Requires completion of a Surgical Tech program with the ability to sit for certification or 2 years minimum working in a Surgical Tech role.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Surgical Technologist/Technician role if the completion of a Surgical tech program has not been completed.

Licensure/Certification: American Heart Association CPR (BLS)

Other Skills/Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Requires intra-operative orientation to learn department/unit policies, procedures and work routines; to develop competency in the use of medical equipment and instruments used in the procedure/operating room; to learn quality/safety standards; and to gain an understanding of the various types of surgical procedures within their service line.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Certification in Surgical Technology Licensure/ Certification: Certification in Surgical Technology from an accredited school
