Salary:
- $80-$90/hr. based on your experience
- $1,000 bonuses upon starting and completing contract
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech Pathology, Speech Audiology, Communications Disorders, or similar program.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a teaching certificate with OSPI, including the appropriate endorsement
- Washington State Educational Staff Associate Certification (ESA)
- BLS/CPR Certification
JOB SUMMARY:
Speech language pathologist would be responsible for helping reduce or eliminate speech and language delays that interfere with the individual student’s ability to derive full benefit from the district’s educational program.
Essential Functions:
- Identify students needing specialized speech or language services and provide tailored solutions for academic success.
- Conduct individual and group therapy using curriculum-based materials and provide progress reports.
- Supervise support staff, consult with educators, and provide alternative communication systems.
- Create engaging learning environments and promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.
- Explore individual learning needs, develop personalized solutions, and implement curriculum goals.
- Model mature behavior, uphold values, and encourage character development.
