Shift : Nights, 7p-7:30a, 12×3, 36 hours per week, Every other weekend
Length : 13 weeks
Requirements:
- MD License
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIH
- Electronic Documentation preferred

- Required Skills: Cardiac Telemetry, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry – on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams, IV insulin protocols, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, CVA, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula , Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen face masks

– Nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:4, but RN should be expected to take 1:5 based on acuity and downgrades
– if floated to non tele med surg unit patient ratio is 1:6
PCU/Telemetry Cardiac Monitoring – Admits from NWH ED, direct admits from Grace Medical Center, transfers from non-tele units:
