The Physician's Assistant assesses, plans, and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician. Examines patients, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examinations. Orders and interprets appropriate laboratory and radiographic tests. Participates in daily patient rounds, writes progress notes, conducts patient education, writes prescriptions, and prepares discharge summaries. Partners with the Office Manager for scheduling and other administrative responsibilities.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Active California PA License
- PA-C
- DEA or Furnishing # preferred
- Current BCLS (CPR/AED) or ACLS certification
Experience:
- Two years work-related experience required
- Experience in dermatology office a plus
Salary: Starting pay $85/hr then increase to percentage of collections after one year of employment
