Overview

Our mission in the ICU is to provide healing, comfort, and support to our patients and their families in times of critical need. Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurses provide advanced illness management and health promotion for patients requiring critical care. They continuously monitor the critically ill patient, react to changes in clinical status, provide patient and family education, advocate for the complex needs of the critically ill child, and coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a safe, high quality, comprehensive, and age-appropriate plan of care for the critically ill patient and family.
- Meets the educational and informational needs of the critically ill patient and family and advocates for their needs.
- Maintains an environment that is safe, comfortable, efficient, and family-centered.
- Utilizes current research and evidence for practice to enhance role performance and improve nursing care quality.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Licensed RN - MO or Kansas required upon hire.
- RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO.
- Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications.
- Specialty Certification relevant to unit's patient population preferred.
- CCRN preferred, but not required.

Starting Pay
The pay range for this job begins at $32.33/hr, determined based on education and experience.
