Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our telehealth team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health care and substance abuse treatment to patients remotely, ensuring they receive timely and effective treatment from the comfort of their homes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments via telehealth platforms.
- Diagnose and manage mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage medications as necessary.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in telehealth and mental health care.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky.
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in psychiatric/mental health care.
- Experience with telehealth services is preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in mental health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with telehealth technologies and electronic medical records.
- Ability to work independently and manage a virtual caseload.
