Responsibilities
The Individual Therapist conducts assessments, develops and executes treatment plans, facilitates individual and group therapy, and provides clinical support to their assigned program as needed.
Essential Duties:
- Facilitate individual and group therapies within young adults/adolescents within the framework of Newport Healthcare's clinical model.
- Complete risk assessment and initial safety plan upon admission, and biopsychosocial assessment and treatment plan within timeline requirements.
- Coordinate treatment goals and services in collaboration with client's treatment team, with 30-day treatment plan reviews and updates.
- Provide progress updates to parents in collaboration with family therapist.
- Conduct risk or crisis assessments and provide crisis intervention/management as needed.
- Complete documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress and group notes, discharge summary) timely and according to established standards.
- Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision.
- Attend meetings, trainings and conferences representing Newport Healthcare as needed.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
- Board registered (APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA) or Psychologic Associate in the state in which services are provided required.
- Experience working with individual, family, and/or group therapy with young adults/adolescents.
- Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders or trauma-informed treatment preferred.
Salary Range for this position is $60,480 - $83,160 annually based on education and experience.
