Job Summary
Performs, interprets and correlates clinical laboratory tests by following departmental protocols to assist in physician diagnosis and treatment. Prepares specimens for testing, screens patient specimens, and analyzes patient specimens for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Performs quality control procedures, and assists in maintaining an efficient and effective laboratory operation. May serve as a generalist or as a limited specialist.
Qualifications
- Required Bachelor's Degree in related field
- 1 year of relevant experience in a related field (Preferred)
- CRT-Medical Technologist, Certified (MT) - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology Spectrum Health labs except for Toxicology (Upon Hire required)
- CRT-Medical Laboratory Scientist - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology Spectrum Health labs except for Toxicology (Upon Hire required)
- CRT-American Medical Technologist, Certified (AMT) - AMT American Medical Technologists Spectrum Health labs except for Toxicology (Upon Hire required)
- CRT-Clinical Toxicology - AACC American Association for Clinical Chemistry Toxicology Dept Only (Upon Hire required)
