Overview
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who is passionate about building products that customers love. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for the ideation and steering of new product development for the biopharma group, with particular focus on crafting exciting products within Host Cell Protein Analysis, Affinity Chromatography, and other affinity applications. Specifically, your responsibilities will also include the ongoing product management and sustaining activities for a $10M+ portfolio of products including other chromatography columns.
The ability to empathize with our customers and design solutions for their unmet needs is critical. The candidate should be comfortable guiding technical discussions surrounding biomolecule workflows as well contributing to strategic and marketing topics.
The Senior Product Manager will manage the entire lifecycle of their products, being responsible for capturing customer requirements, defining their vision with engineering, as well as leading all aspects of product strategy, pricing, and positioning.
Reporting to the Biopharma Consumables Portfolio Owner, the Senior Product Manager is a highly visible, global role. Domestic and international travel of up to 15% is required.
Responsibilities
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that delight customers, accelerate scientific discovery, and grow market share.
- Work closely with engineering teams to build detailed requirements and prototypes to test with customers.
- Work with strategic teams to generate business cases that support the innovation.
- Execute the roadmap, launching new products into the market.
- Develop and write value propositions to support on-market campaigns.
- Take responsibility as the subject matter authority and source of competitive intelligence for products in your portfolio.
- Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on products and services.
Qualifications
- Minimum BS in a Scientific field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a scientific field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with affinity applications.
- Direct experience within the chromatography market.
- Experience with developing 'Go-to-Market' product strategies.
- Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills.
