JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is located in the Office of Research - Woodruff Industry Sponsored Clinical Trials department.
- Provides assistance to faculty and staff in preparing and routing proposals for contractual awards.
- Reviews and processes requests for extensions of contractual awards.
- Assists Senior Analysts in reviewing and processing standard contract award amendments.
- Interacts with sponsors, faculty, and staff to resolve general matters regarding contractual awards.
- Reviews basic contract terms/conditions and seeks guidance from supervisors, as needed and applicable.
- Assists Senior Analysts in follow-up activities and related correspondence for pending contractual awards.
- Assists Senior Analyst in the preparation of Notice of Award Acceptance documents.
- Responds to sponsor, faculty or staff requests for additional information and/or clarification.
- Coordinates obtaining required approvals or certifications from the appropriate organizational committees such as the Institutional Review Board and the Institutional Animal Use and Care Committee.
- Maintains required records. Assists with updating data in the contracts database for accurate reporting.
- Assists in organizing and conducting educational seminars/workshops for faculty and staff.
- Performs related responsibilities as required, including special projects as assigned by directors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business management, applied science or a related field and two years of related experience.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University location as needed and at times, on short notice. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
