Harney District Hospital is seeking a full-time Laboratory Manager to oversee our lab and our lab employees. Our Lab Manager supervises up to six full time employees. This management position starts at $42.00/hour and increases based on experience. Required Skills and Abilities:
Broad knowledge of standard chemical, microscopic bacteriological and serological procedures, modern laboratory principles and techniques and their application in clinical analysis, and appropriate equipment procedures and maintenance. Knowledge of policy development and supervisory practices. Completion of a Bachelor's degree in medical technology and over three (3) years' experience, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
Education and Experience
Possession of current certification with AMT or ASCP. In order to meet the requirements mandated by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988, Sec. 493.1423, documentation including diploma copy or official transcript of highest academic achievement must be provided at time of hire.
