The Senior Nurse Manager oversees an assigned area to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks. Oversees an evidence-based environment that produces exceptional care with optimal patient outcomes. Serves as a primary liaison and information resource for the clinics. Collaborates with the service line on key clinical strategic development and supports organizational goals and research. Supports the strategic plans through the education of clinical staff to ensure competencies are met and to achieve integration of clinical operations. Provides leadership of clinical quality improvement initiatives, best practices, and oversight of Epic clinical workflows and optimization.
Job Responsibilities- Oversees assigned department or functional area to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks.
- Ensures adherence to service excellence standards and provision of outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Supports offices and team members to ensure that they possess and maintain proper assessment and clinical skills appropriate for the patient population being served.
- Creates, tracks and reports on monthly quality measures related to strategic initiatives and supports evidence-based outcomes. Utilizes quality data that demonstrates national and organizational benchmarks to lead teams in establishing and executing quality improvement initiatives.
- Oversees Epic clinical workflows and optimization activities.
- In collaboration with leadership team, develops consistent clinical protocols, guidelines, and standards for the service line using evidence-based practices.
- Advises and leads clinical strategic plan initiatives related to clinical care delivery models to enhance nursing practice, education and research.
- Monitors and collaborates with leadership team on all clinical QA and QI activities.
- Ensures full compliance with accrediting and regulatory agency standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
RequirementsEducation: BSN
Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical RN experience and minimum 3 years of management experience.
RN License: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
