Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Staff Speech Pathologist - Pediatric Voice disorders - part time.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for providing speech-language pathology services under supervision, and any other duties deemed necessary by the Department Head.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, amends, evaluates and plans speech-language pathology treatment programs according to changing communication needs and requirements.
- Conducts group and individual therapy sessions.
- Documents treatments rendered and patient attendance accurately and in accordance with department protocols.
- Interprets assessment findings to patient and family in a timely fashion.
- Effectively assesses patients' communication function and abilities.
- Demonstrates continued proficiency in skills required to treat assigned patient population.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a MA/MS degree in Speech-Language Pathology; CCC-SLP from ASHA and NY State license in Speech Pathology. Continuing education required in NYS for maintaining licensure. BLS certification (Issued by the American Heart Association-AHA) OR Heartsaver CPR/AED certification (Issued by the American Heart Association-AHA) is required upon entry to the position.
Required Licenses: Speech Pathologist Lic-NYS, ASHA Cert
Preferred Qualifications:
NYS Certification as Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $49.58 - $52.98 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
