Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Water Resources Engineer to work in our growing Water Resources group. What your day-to-day will look like
- Manage water resources study and design projects.
- Develop business in the Florida region.
- Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models of municipal storm sewer and drainage basins.
- Prepare drainage studies and stormwater master plans.
- Analyze and design municipal stormwater facilities (open channels, culverts, storm sewers, detention basins, etc.).
- Address resiliency, LID, sea level rise, and climate change impacts in design.
- Prepare plans and specifications for construction.
- Perform quality control of stormwater models, reports, and/or design.
- Permit with local, state, and federal permitting agencies.
- Prepare competitive proposals and participate in interviews.
- Represent Baxter & Woodman at municipal meetings.
Education/Certification Requirements
- 4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in water resources engineering preferred.
- Florida P.E. License required (or the ability to obtain through reciprocity).
Must-haves, what you will bring
- 10+ years of experience in the design of stormwater projects.
- Knowledge of basic principles of infrastructure design and plan preparation.
- Expertise in hydrology and hydraulics.
- Expertise with H&H modeling (ICPR 3 or 4, ICM, and SWMM are preferred).
- Experience in consulting engineering, public works, or construction.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman service area (own transportation).
- Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D is preferred) and ArcGIS is a plus.
Compensation: The pay range for this role is $110,000-$140,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
