As part of the Scripps Health pharmacy team, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians provide a broad range of clinical services at our sites and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses and other health care team members to deliver high-quality, efficient services to patients and staff. Responsibilities include:
- Obtainmedication histories in an accurate, professional and efficient manner for patients newly admitted to the hospital while in the Emergency Department
- Contacting community pharmacies, outpatient providers, and patient family members to obtain needed medication information and coordinate care
- Complete assigned leadership roles in departmental projects and programs
- Performing basic pharmacy technician duties and more advanced pharmacy technician duties
