Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, FTE 1.0, 1st shift position. Monday - Friday, varying shift start times between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. (occasional 6:30 a.m.), with varying end times between 4:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Hours may vary based on department needs.
Pay:
- External hires may be eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus.
- This position includes a $2.25 per hour float differential.

We are seeking a Senior Medical Technologist (MT), Float - Generalist to:
- Provide daily direction to other laboratory staff with regard to laboratory workload, policies, procedures, and recommend adjustments to staffing, policies and procedures.
- Serve as a consult for test performance and technical problems.
- Motivate, coordinate and support staff to ensure quality results are reported in a timely manner.
- Assure that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications and that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the test system is properly functioning.

Education:
Minimum - Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology.
Or Bachelor's degree must include minimally 60 semester hours or equivalent, that includes either:
- 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses OR
24 semester hours - 6 chemistry, 6 biology and 12 chemistry, biology, medical laboratory technology in any combination
Preferred - Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS).
Master's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (MLS) or related science or healthcare field.
Work Experience:
Minimum - Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory with emphasis on skills related to work area
Preferred - Three years of experience in a clinical laboratory with emphasis on skills related to work area
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum -
Preferred - Certification (Medical Laboratory Scientist, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Technologist in Blood Bank, Molecular Biology) by the board of American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
