Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant certification
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, infection control, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in using dental software systems (Eaglesoft)
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to perform patient assessments and take vital signs
