Description
SAIC, a leading provider of systems development & deployment, targeting & intelligence analysis, systems engineering & integration, and training capabilities and solutions for the Intelligence Community, is seeking a Federal Laboratory Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services to a United States Government customer in Chantilly, VA. SETA contractors provide analysis and engineering services in a consulting capacity, working closely with the government’s own engineering staff members. This customer is responsible for designing, building, and operating national security-related systems based in space, in the air, and on the ground.
SAIC has an opening for an engineer to provide SETA support to a customer who is responsible for developing and maturing RF technology from applied research into the demonstrably mature capabilities that can be inserted into system program baselines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA), Partnership Intermediary Agreements (PIA), and Collaborative Project Orders (CPO)
- Track technology transfers from an R&D office to operational users
- Identify key technical progress metrics and milestones and provide analysis of the progress against objectives
- Support project management through the Federal Laboratory authority
- Conduct engagement and coordination with other Federal Laboratory entities, as well as academia, industry, and government organizations
- Engage in outreach activities with stakeholders within the organization to identify transition partners for R&D projects
- Communicate technical concepts and information via written and oral communications
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Poly
- BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
- 14+ years of relevant experience to include working in Program/Project management and technical leadership
- Experience with Patents and Intellectual Property (IP) is desired
- Aptitude for on-site SETA work
- Effective interpersonal skills and strong briefing and writing skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
