Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for over 70 years. Part of the Manatee Healthcare System, the hospital has earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval. The 295-bed hospital with over 800 physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment. Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services - including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci Surgical System, a weight-loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women's and children's services. Manatee Memorial Hospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs.
The Charge Nurse (RN) assumes shift responsibility and accountability for planning and providing direct/indirect nursing care to patients, families, and appropriate others under the direct supervision of the Nursing Director. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and educates other nursing personnel to provide and facilitate optimal health care outcomes in accordance with MMH policies and procedures, standards and philosophy. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Ability to integrate nursing theory into practice using nursing process. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to problem-solve and work effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians. Ability to plan and organize work. Ability to work independently and in teams. Ability to plan, organize and direct the activities of others. Other duties as assigned.
Job Information:
- This opportunity is for a full-time Charge RN 7p-7a nights position with the Palma Sola Free-Standing Emergency Room (Address: 633 75th Street West., Bradenton, FL 34209)
- Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of ED experience
- Current ER experience, required

Qualifications:
- Graduation from Accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN licensure in Florida
- Current BLS through American Heart Association
- Current ACLS through American Heart Association
- Current PALS through American Heart Association
- Current TNCC Certification
- Current NIH Stroke Certification
- CPI required within 6 months of hire
- Preference of 1-3 years experience in Emergency Nursing
- Management experience, preferred
