This Cath Lab Registered Nurse OR CATH LAB RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient flexible schedule. The Cath Lab Registered Nurse: Provides direct patient care to adult patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the procedural/interventional environment.
This position communicates effectively with the physician and team members about patient condition. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Assists in obtaining supplies for individual cases and ensuring all appropriate needs of the cardiovascular lab team are met.
Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure as well as administers moderate sedation under the guidance of the Physician. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
OR The Cardiovascular Lab Radiological Technologist: Responsible for performing cardiovascular and interventional radiological procedures. Performs radiographic diagnostic and interventional procedures in the interventional service line, upon the order of a licensed practitioner.
Provides for optimal patient care applying departmental standards and protocols. Exercises professional judgement in performance of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology procedures. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for admitting, recovering and discharging of patients from the Cardiovascular Lab.
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other health team members as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
- Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes post-procedure assessments.
- Approaches patient in a kind, gentle manner. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families.

Qualifications
For the RN you will need:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Nevada.
- Current POC license within 90 days.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Minimum of one year experience in critical care.
For the Radiological Technologist:
- Current Nevada Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current valid RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) certificate.
- Current Fluoroscopy Certificate.
- BLS required.
- ACLS required.
