Job Title: Audiologist
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Rate: $60 - $65 Per hour.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm (Shifts may vary based on clinic needs)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Audiologist to provide comprehensive audiology services to individuals with developmental disabilities. The Audiologist will be responsible for conducting diagnostic hearing tests, evaluating middle ear function, prescribing and fitting hearing aids, providing ongoing support and maintenance for hearing aid users, and offering counseling to individuals with hearing loss or processing difficulties. The ideal candidate will have a valid license to practice audiology in the State of New York, be enrolled in Medicaid/Medicare, possess at least two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, and have expertise in billing Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party insurance. Additionally, the Audiologist must demonstrate proficiency in using electronic health record systems and be willing to comply with training requirements. TB testing/inoculation according to 14 NYCRR Section 633.14 and proof of two MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) inoculations in the person’s lifetime are required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic hearing tests as per referrals.
- Conduct impedance/middle ear testing.
- Evaluate individuals for hearing aid candidacy and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Procure hearing aids as necessary and provide follow-up care.
- Conduct regular assessments and maintenance checks for individuals with hearing aids.
- Perform hearing aid analysis and simple repairs.
- Offer counseling and support to individuals with hearing loss or processing difficulties.
- Provide on-site training to support staff on hearing aid maintenance.
- Complete required paperwork and billing for Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party insurance.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all services rendered in the electronic health record system.
- Maintain compliance with clinic protocols and procedures.
- Participate in training sessions provided by the organization.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Audiology or related field.
- Valid license to practice Audiology in the State of New York.
