RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-contact patients to coordinate pre-admission interview
-serve as contact person for medical offices regarding patient pre-admission communications
-gather supporting documentation for procedures (i.e. H&Ps, pre-op orders, medical and cardiac clearances,C-19 vaccine documentation, etc.)
-assemble charts in preparation for assessment interviews
-check incoming documents for date of service and file into charts or file drawer,
-monitor assessment emails and faxes/E-faxes and file all documents appropriately
-create new charts and disassemble canceled charts
-maintain thorough communication between Assessment nurses, Anesthesia personnel, and medical offices
-maintain accurate list of patients needing interviews
-ensure each chart is complete with all necessary documents
-other duties as assigned
Required Skills

- Minimum 1-2 years of hospital or medical office experience required.
- Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.
- Show a genuine desire to work and improve the center as a whole.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner.
- Must be able to adhere to hospital financial and admitting policies.
- Ability to promote positive relationships with patients and staff.
- Must know insurance verification and collection processes.
