Summary of Job Function: The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice. Responsibilities include reporting identified safety issues, supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members, and collaborating with other patient care providers. The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address specific patient needs.

Job Qualifications: BA/BS/BSN degree preferred. Completion of clinical experience in NLN accredited school preferred. Current NJ RN Licensure required. National Certification preferred. BLS required. ACLS required within 6 months to 1 year of initial employment.
