Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant performs clinical and administrative duties, independently reviewing patient health status, history, and issues of care coordination. They review medical intake information with the physician and participate in the plan of care. The role involves delivering patient care within the scope of practice and established Gaylord policies, procedures, and patient care standards. Additionally, the Medical Assistant performs all reception, scheduling, and clerical tasks to support patient care operations of the Outpatient Medical Services Department, flexibly accommodating the needs of both clinical care and the reception area throughout the workday.
Qualifications:
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required.
- Minimum one year experience in an acute care or outpatient setting required.
- Experience with an electronic practice management system required.
