Pediatric Diagnostic / Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant Position
Radiology Associates of North Texas P.A. has an opening for a full time Pediatric Physician Assistants practicing diagnostic/interventional radiology. The ideal candidate will have prior pediatric radiology experience.
The position will start with a 6 to 8 month training program learning and working alongside our pediatric radiologists, pediatric interventional radiologists, adult interventional radiologists, and interventional radiology APPs at the premier children's hospital and adult hospitals in Fort Worth. Training length will vary based on experience. Once training has been completed, the majority of this person's practice will be at that Medical City Children's Hospital in Dallas with some shifts taking place at Cook Prosper. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. There is no call, no nights, or weekends as part of this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform H&P's, consents, pre/post procedural patient care
- Patient admissions, discharges, inpatient/outpatient consults and follow-ups
- Diagnostic and vascular interventional radiology procedures (not all inclusive) including preliminary diagnostic interpretation reports, pediatric fluoroscopies, some adult fluoroscopies, Barium enemas, modified Barium swallows and swallow studies, esophograms, upper GI series, arthrograms, lumbar punctures, GJ tube exchanges, and bone marrow biopsies.
Minimum Education, Certification, and Prior Experience Required:
- Master in Physician Assistant studies or equivalent from an accredited program
- ACLS/BLS and PALS certification
- Current medical license (ideally Texas) in good standing without disciplinary action
- NCCPA board certification
- Pediatric radiology experience
