Short Description
The Clinical Nurse Manager will provide the knowledge, skill, and expertise necessary to successfully support the day-to-day operations of the clinical unit.
The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible to:
- Oversee assignments.
- Assist in quality and throughput goals.
- Support staff engagement by serving the unit in a consistent, supportive, and compassionate manner.
- Role model/mentor clinical staff to address patient needs effectively.
- Support quality patient care and organizational priorities at the direction of the Clinical Director.
- Identify and support the elements of improved care quality using HRO principles.
Overview
Pavilion 5 is a 30-bed med-surg telemetry unit with a focus on hematology and oncology patients. Pavilion 5 is at the forefront of cancer care in partnership with MD Anderson. The floor is staffed by a team of oncologists, nurses, and support staff who are committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
Experience Required
A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities.
Education Requirements
Graduate of NLN-accredited School of Nursing.
License/Certification Requirements
Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers).
Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS).
Special Requirements
Hours: 7 pm - 7 am, weekends and holidays required.
