Job Overview:
The Mental Health Associate (MHA) will provide emotional support to behavioral patients as well as basic CCT responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field or
- 2 years work experience in the field of Mental Health or
- 2 years patient care experience
- BLS required
Scheduling Requirements:
- This is a part-time night position 7pm-7:30am; 24 hours per week including rotating weekends.
Essential Functions:
- Taking vital signs, EKGs, performing phlebotomy, assisting or providing patients with bedside care, i.e., bathing, mouth care, skin care.
- Providing emotional support to behavioral patients.
- Assisting in carrying out the behavioral plan of care such as diversional activities while keeping patient safety at the forefront.
- Working under the direction of the RN to provide care to patients on the unit.
