Critical Care Transport Nurse

Critical Care Registered Nurse Part-time Opportunity!
We're hiring a Critical Care Transport (CCT) Nurse that is passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced patient care during inter-facility transportation of our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Nurses assess and use expertise in each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations.
- Provide care requirements aligned within the Registered Nurse scope of practice as defined by the Board of Registered Nursing and per CCT standardized procedure.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians' orders.
- Act as team leader and take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients and maintain regular equipment checks and stock.
- Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow crew.
- Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensing
* Current unrestricted RN license in State of practice.
* CA Drivers License
Experience
* Minimum of three (3) years of emergency/critical care experience (>1 year of adult ICU preferred).
* Previous CCT experience desirable, but not required.
Certifications
* CEN and/or CCRN recommended for entry-level position.
* Current Certifications (Pre-Hire)
* Current AHA or ASHI Basic Life Support (BLS)
* Current AHA or ASHI Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
* Current AHA or ASHI Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or ACEP Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS) or NPC Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
* AAP Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
* NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 required.
* National certification (C-NPT, CEN, CCRN, or CTRN) upon application but required within one (1) year of hire per Company policy.
Knowledge and Skills
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to communicate professionally, effectively, and persuasively.
* Ability to maintain composure under pressure, work efficiently and accurately with frequent interruptions, and set and reset multiple priorities.
* Remains cognizant of local EMS county protocols and requirements.
* Presents a professional image as a REACH team member.
* Maintains a positive team attitude with paramedic, respiratory therapist, mechanic, and communication specialist by working cohesively.
* Works independently and tolerates high stress levels while maintaining a good rapport with co-workers.
* Maintains ongoing knowledge of relevant SOP's.
Physical Requirements
* Requires activities requiring a moderate amount of standing, sitting, and walking.
* Able to conduct activities requiring a moderate to rigorous amount of static pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting (knuckle height and ankle height).
* Capable of lifting 200lbs. with assistance.
* Ability to hear routine ambulance and medical equipment noises.
* Must be able to wear a commercially available respirator mask with proper fit, when required.
* Requires close and distant visual capability.
* Periodic hands to key ability (typing).
* Ability to work within a 12-24-hour job environment.

Pay Range: $63.57 - $81.87 an hour (This rate applies to a 12-hour shift)
