Position Summary
The Labor Relations Specialist is responsible for day-to-day and ongoing Labor Relations activities with an emphasis on contract set-up and maintenance of union rates in the Sports & Entertainment software platform. The Labor Relations Specialist interacts daily with other Company departments, outside offices, and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure software system is compliant with union contract mandates.
- Verify appropriate client set-up for pension and health plans.
- Research inquiries from fund offices and clients and coordinate effective resolutions to any contract or billing issues, with a focus on specifying and finding solutions for ongoing problems to prevent reoccurrence.
- Work with programmers gathering and testing necessary data.
- Report generation and analysis as requested by unions and clients.
- Contract set-up reference spreadsheets and procedure documentation.
- Ensure all contractual updates are circulated to all the appropriate internal individuals.
- Point of contact with multiple departments (Implementations, Payroll, IT, System Operations, Residuals, Pensions) and external parties (especially unions and fund offices) for questions and research relating to contribution rates, contract issues, and reporting.
- Establishing or improvement of interdepartmental procedures.
- Creation and presentation of training & resource materials, through contract analysis, for use by Labor Relations and other departments.
- Assist Labor Relations with client contact and follow-up for project and contract information.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- 2-3 years Labor Relations experience in the Entertainment Industry environment
- Understand collective bargaining agreement details and ability to implement.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate issues that are complex in nature, both verbally and in writing, through various mediums.
- Experience collaborating with clients and departments to identify needs, prioritize requests, and build effective relationships using tact and diplomacy.
- General understanding of the payroll process highly preferred.
