This position is currently eligible for an up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for full time.
Part of a busy hospital outpatient department that also includes Outpatient Occupational Therapy. The Rehab Department has two outpatient sites both offsite from the hospital; one located in the local Y in Rockport and the other included with Primary Care/Walk-in Care, and Occupational Health in a new medical office suite in Rockland.
Our clinic sees a variety of diagnoses; orthopedic pre and post-surgical, neurological, medically debilitated, lymphedema, pelvic floor, vestibular, etc.
Staff have specialty training in aquatics, LSVT Big program, Orthopedic Specialty, Pelvic Floor specialists, Lymphedema Specialists, Vestibular Certified to name a few.
The Physical Therapist role performs physical therapy evaluations, develops plans, and carries out treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patients reach their maximum performance in accordance with the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider. Provides all aspects of care based on standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association.
This is an outpatient, adult Physical Therapist role.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program required.
- License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as a Physical Therapist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
- Experience: One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system, or outpatient Physical Therapy department preferred.
