*A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Cat Scan Tech in Morristown, NJ*. The *Cat Scan Tech* would be working for a Major Healthcare System and has career growth potential*.*
*Highlights:*
* This will be a 12-week contract with potential to extend
* Pay Range: $62-$68 Hourly (Based on experience)
*Shift Options:*
1. Wednesday Thursday Friday and Saturday 9pm-7am overnight including on-call (9hrs/day)
OR
2. Sunday Monday and Tuesday 7pm-8am overnight including on-call. (12hrs/day)
*Cat Scan Tech Responsibilities:*
* Obtains necessary medical, surgical and radiological supplies for specific procedures according to established protocols.
* Maintains sterility of field and instruments.
* Correctly prepares requisitions.
* Communicates to the patient and family before, during and after the procedure to alleviate anxiety while maintaining privacy and dignity of the patient.
* Verifies patient identification according to the AHS policy.
* Observes patient’s condition before and after contrast injections and reports any sudden change to the nursing staff and Radiologist.
* Ensures availability of medicals records, previous reports, labs and history of patient.
* Can begin emergency response in case of complication.
* Maintains adequate linen supplies in each scanning room, and contrast media and biopsy/drainage supplies in each scanning room.
* Adheres to room assignments (CT 1,2 and 3).
* Assists in maintaining CT storeroom, outside inventory. Participates in daily inventory and stocking of supplies. Notifies Lead of expired or soon to expire equipment or medications. Cleans and inventories supplies.
* Participates in the routine cleaning of the CT gantry, table and peripheral equipment after each use.
* The point staff will perform the following tasks while displaying involvement in patient care, professionalism and respect to other staff and patients:
* When assigned as Point, triages procedures accordingly to the daily schedule
* Ensures timely coordination of all emergency and unscheduled procedure requests.
* Assigns staff to ensure efficient workflow while maintaining an environment of patient safety.
* Maintains workflow within the section to coordinate emergent and unscheduled procedure requests within the schedule.
* Communicates with all departments and floors with regards to patient status.
* Ensures immediate patient transport post procedure.
* Assists in performing routine procedures.
* Assesses patient ability to tolerate contrast.
* Screens for allergies/medication incompatibilities.
* Cleans CT Unit and room after each use.
* Notifies Coordinator or Lead of equipment malfunctions.
* Maintains QA/QC requirements for daily, monthly & ACR specifications.
* Recognizes unusual conditions in the operation of equipment. Alerts appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions.
* Adheres to venipuncture and power injector protocols
*Cat Scan Tech* *Requirements:*
* Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from a School of Radiography or College based Radiography program.
* *Required Certifications & Licensure:* ARRT RT (R)-ARRT RT (CT)-NJDEP – New Jersey State X-Ray License.
* BLS Certification.
* HS diploma/GED
* Must be FLU and Covid Vaccinated
