Overview:
The Clinical Product Manager – Vendor Management is responsible for supporting the AVP of Medical Cost Containment in the implementation, process improvement, and optimization of vendor management programs. The Clinical Product Manager will be responsible for the management of ancillary vendor partnerships, to deliver consistent and timely support for the Workers Compensation claims organization. Collaborate with vendor partners to achieve key performance measures that include service level, turnaround time, quality and customer satisfaction. The Clinical Product Manager will review, audit, and manage contracted service level measurements to ensure contract obligations and customer satisfaction are being met. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.
Responsibilities:
- Directs and oversees the activities of assigned vendor partners, by analyzing and managing vendor performance based on established key performance indicators
- Serve as a business owner for ancillary vendor management needs and establishing key performance indicators, identifying opportunities, and driving business goals
- Monitor, analyze, and trend ancillary vendor program data to assist in the development, implementation, and driving of key initiatives for physical therapy, diagnostics, Home Health, DME, transportation, translation and dental services
- Support the development of communications and workers compensation colleague training initiatives
- Manage day to day issues with ancillary vendor program, interfacing with vendors and internal staff
- Identifies best practices and trends in the industry, participates in evaluating new and emerging technologies, treatments and programs to determine possible incorporation into ancillary vendor program
- Participates in office managed care and workers compensation meetings
- Manages project development and enhancements through coordination with WC operations
- Keeps current with market trends and demands
- Performs other functionally related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum B.S. or B.A. Degree, advanced degree preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 3+ years of managing projects and/or vendor relationships
- Strong analytical abilities to assess vendor performance metrics and financial impact
- Proficient in data evaluation and visualizations
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience the health care management setting, insurance carrier setting or related industry
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products including Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
- Ability to align vendor strategies with overall organizational goals and objectives
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects with innovation, creativity and vision
- Ability to represent AmTrust at vendor partner meetings and conferences
Preferred:
- Project Management Office (PMO) experience preferred
- 2+ years of management experience preferred
- Ability to lead any necessary process improvement efforts needed to mature organization
- Demonstrated results in developing strategic plans and executing key initiatives
- Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal, as well as strong analytic, documentation, and organizational skills
- Efficient with multitasking between projects
- Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations, medical billing (ICD9/10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Experience with State and external accreditation managed care audits and with writing and implementing program level policy and procedures
- Ability to prepare and effectively communicate presentations, interpret/develop reports, metrics and improvement plans, and to interact collaboratively and work effectively with a multi-functional team and throughout the organization; fosters an environment of shared responsibility and accountability
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies and to collaborate across functional lines and leaders
